Release Notes - 16th January 2008
The following release notes provide information on the latest series of updates to be made to the ChurchInsight service.
Shop/Store enhancements
Wishlists Any product can now be added to a wishlist by clicking a “add to my wishlist” link located underneath the buy button on the product detail page. The contents of the wishlist are displayed in a separate component located in the left-hand column (underneath the shopping basket/cart). At any time the user can go to the “my wishlist” menu option under the shop menu to view the contents of their wishlist; the items in the wishlist can then be added to the basket/cart either en masse or line by line. Note this feature is disabled by default. To enable see Configuration options below.
Draft Orders The contents of a shopping basket/cart can now be saved at any time as a draft order for purchase at a later time. This feature is intended to allow users (such as distributors) to assemble a large order over a period of time, then place that order repeatedly if necessary. When the draft orders feature is enabled a button on the checkout page allows you to “save this order for later”. Draft orders can be viewed by selecting the “my draft orders” option under the shop menu. Each saved order is stored with an “order number” as well as the date when the order was last saved. Once again, items in a draft order can be added individually or en masse to the shopping basket/cart. When a draft order no longer contains any items it will automatically be deleted.
Configuration options Both draft orders and Wishlists can be enabled from with the Shop area of the Settings page. A separate checkbox is available to enable each feature and both the “wishlist” and “draft order” can be given an appropriate name by the administrator.
The 'Shop/Store General Settings Page' options have now been grouped for easier selection.
Other Updates
- Themes can be dynamically applied to both email-templates and directly in the mailing wizard and correctly saved.
- Components are now included in the printable version.
- Event pop-up styling improved.
- Geocoder Map positions now plotted more efficiently.
- Media folders can now be correctly created with the same name as a group folder.
- Hand link icon now appears in Firefox when hovering over adverts.
- Fixes to Demographic report.
- Not authorised message made more user-friendly with link to registration page (link only appears if registrations are allowed on the site).
- The default Public Forum SPAM setting is now HIGH.
