Personalizing the "About Us" section

This is where the ‘traditional’ web site information is found. It is a section dedicated to introducing and explaining your church to first time visitors.

This information may not change very frequently, and can often be created initially from your existing publicity material or web site. Existing content should be edited appropriately for the web. For advice on writing for the web and creating attractive pages see our Web Graphics Guide.

Your trial site will contain several sub groups below About Us that give an idea of the type of content that might be included. The About Us homepage should give an introduction to your organization for first time visitors, and contain links to other key areas under this section e.g. contact details. It is advisable that each page of information should be in their own group so they are easy to access through the web site navigation.

If the front page of your web site contains a 'Welcome' area, then it can contain links to articles under the About Us  area - for example information about main meetings, contact information.
